Somatic work is a bottom-up approach that focuses on building connection with the body by tuning into sensations, which are the body's way of communicating its experience in the present moment. In this approach, we work with whatever arises, using it as the landscape of the session. I guide you through these sensations, titrating our exploration with various tools and techniques to expand your capacity. As resilience grows, both your emotional and physical body strengthen, allowing you to complete the responses that were previously left unfinished. Trauma isn’t in the event itself, but in how the nervous system holds it; safety, resources, and time are what the body needs to heal.

Body Tending

Reiki

Is a very gentle way of body tending. Reiki means universal life force energy. The energy is channelled through the hands into the receiver, where it goes to work to heal on the physical, emotional mental and spiritual levels. Reiki offers a returning of balance to the mind, body and spirit. Clients have experienced falling asleep, deep meditation, clarity, relaxation, even have found ti to be energizing in a good way. Documented research evidence has shown that Reiki healing helps to lower heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormones, and offer increased immune strength.


Myofacial Release (MFR)- ***These services are on pause until further notice***

Is another gentle technique that focuses on relieving tension and pain in the myofacial tissues. MFR uses slow, steady pressure along with sustained stretching to gently soften that fascia over and through the muscles, more effectively releasing the tension throughout.
